‘JG-80MMV – Name, Rank & Serial Number’ is a photographic essay of the last two weeks of the life of Durham Light Infantry soldier, John Gaffney who landed at Gold Beach on D-Day, and died days later during the Allied invasion of Europe in June 1944.

The book, a collaborative project between photographer Garry Hunter and TruthStudio, is

divided into three parts; Part 1: Calm Before The Storm; Part 2: Journey Into An Unknown Landscape; Part 3: Remembrance.
