Background
Founded by author Steve Darlow, shortly after publishing his first book about his own grandfather who was a Lancaster pilot and a prisoner-of-war. Fighting High pride themselves in commissioning and publishing original stories and investing in the production, presentation, and design of quality books. Since forming in 2009, their reputation has grown to enable them to become a key player in the specialist world of historical aviation publishing, where factual accuracy and originality are paramount.
Our creative approach
TruthStudio were with them from the start – from brand strategy and proposition, to developing their publisher imprint/ logo and identity. We have designed every title in Fighting Highs’ catalogue – from cover and jacket design to full books.
Results
Since forming in 2009, their reputation has grown to enable Fighting High to become a key player in the specialist world of historical aviation publishing, where originality, quality, passion and distinctiveness – both editorially and in the design of their books – is paramount.
What impresses me working with Michael, is his analysis of the subject matter behind the design brief, and his willingness to discuss concepts and ideas. Through this approach, TruthStudio have created an instantly recognisable and contemporary brand, established a visual language across all our titles and given us a competitive edge over other publishers within our genre. They have enabled us to excel in our marketplace and we are proud of the sales this has generated and the wonderful feedback we regularly receive not only from our loyal customers – but fellow publishers too!
